The institutionalization of guilt as a virtue and the pedestalization of Christ led to the emasculation of the Gospels, interpellation, of self-induced suffering, and the unquestioned translator’s interpolation transformed Jesus’ beliefs and actions into a religion about Christ. Did Jesus find you equal to himself by offering so differing a field? Others made that field muddy from the beginning; Matthew adding to Mark and Paul, John, Luke and Mark just . . . adding.
Jesus is, and so are you. The answer then is yes - you too are a son and daughter of God, brother and sister to Jesus, just as Jesus knew.
A Knight of the Benediction
A Knight of the Benediction is a son or daughter of God—meaning every and any human—who chooses to undertake living with the Oath (below). There are many ways to personally search for God and this is one way. This Knighthood requires no other’s permission or pleasure for all are sons and daughters of God, and each person may choose to undertake living with the Oath equally. A Knight of the Benediction is not afraid of a simple life—meaning a rich tableau of spirit—and sidesteps embellishment or adoration.
The symbol and archetype of a Knight of the Benediction is the doubled cross. The eight points are in no specific order and on no specific point: mercy, strength, hope, compassion, grace, innocence, forgiveness and faith. The joint of the cross is the Benediction, which is to say and mean a devout invocation of the eight points; formality is a circumstance and there is no requirement that many or even eight of these points be in any particular Benediction. Each point is whole, as-is, and adoration with embellishment and adornment is of no use to a Knight of the Benediction. The doubled cross is not God and is not Christ or Jesus. Lay it down and pick it up as all other things.
A Knight of the Benediction internalizes the combinations of the eight points of the double cross such that they may also benefit others witnessing the Knight’s actions. In this way a Knight of the Benediction bears the hope that others may recognize that God’s love also shines through their own bravery and forthrightness. A Knight of the Benediction acts as a warrior-priest as found in the Oath and bearing of the double cross, enabled by their devout internalization to offer verbal and written Benediction at request. All actions are God as all things are God, and that recognition internally as prayer or even by simple awareness always benefits by external invocation of Benediction.
Expressing a Benediction of a single point or combination of the eight points of the doubled cross is holy on its face, praised be of God for God.
The Outright Benediction
A benediction is an invocation to remind us that the divine is always present, within and without, to ask for help and guidance or even to simply be God and child together. A benediction can be given anywhere, any time, but is more formal than a prayer or praise. Anyone who asks a Knight of the Benediction for a benediction should be accommodated, the most heinous or the most sublime both in equal measure.
The Unhidden Mysteries
For a Knight of the Benediction, all things are God and no part small or large is anything less than God—any single part no matter how small is also the entirety of God, and so all of God is found in each part all at the same time, a mystery teaching on the fullness of omnipresence. A Knight of the Benediction with this understanding acts with God everywhere, everytime.
For a Knight of the Benediction, the Kingdom of Heaven is now, here, wherever there can be here. A Knight of the Benediction with this understanding sees all people as sons and daughters of God just as they.
For a Knight of the Benediction, even what seems the most disordered is only seemingly so—all is God and perfectly, necessarily a single order such as this example: QJdxDwOBUyguoHCjKL or perhaps relevantly mShcGIf.f. A Knight of the Benediction with this understanding can act for the grace of God even in the midst of the most disordered.
Oath Taking of a Knight of the Benediction
I do not fight fear or hatred in the faces of an enemy - only acts.
God’s love shines out of my bravery and forthrightness.
My death is always the truth.
This is my oath.
Prayer and Listening
A Knight of the Benediction will find comfort by praying on the eight points of the double cross. Also in listening—purely listening. If all is God, then should we not be listening? If all is the world, then should we not be listening? Prayer or Listening are both holy acts.
Organization of a Knight of the Benediction
You make yourself such a Knight when you take the Oath. There is no formal order. You are a Knight of the Benediction who also is a son and daughter of God and brother and sister of Jesus. Who is more or less than that? No one and nothing.
